Dallas Animal Services

One of the largest municipal animal shelters in the US, Dallas Animal Services (DAS) takes in any pet in need from the area, regardless of space constraints. It is dedicated to providing compassionate care for animals and finding forever-loving homes for adoptable pets. One of the milestones they are most proud of is their 90% annual live release rate. This means that the majority of animals that come into their care are adopted, returned to their owners, or transferred to other rescue organizations.

SPCA of Texas

The most comprehensive and longest-serving animal welfare agency in North Texas, the SPCA of Texas, is an independent non-profit organization that helps animals in need. It does not receive operating funds from the City of Dallas and gets support only from the locals. It is a no-kill city animal shelter and only sees euthanasia as an end-of-the-road option to stop long-term hardship and suffering. It has an Animal Cruelty Investigations Unit that looks into animal cruelty and abuse reports.

They then give them love, food, training, and medical care towards the ultimate goal which is to be in a loving family.
